I was supposed to go to Blacksburg this weekend, but work preempted that. In fact work has kind of taken over lately.
In lieu of hiking in the mountains I made time Sunday to go to the Chesapeake Arboretum and Oak Grove Park.
Here is what we saw at the Arboretum:
And here is what we saw at Oak Grove Park:
It seems you and your son were able to spend a very beautiful family day together outdoors :-)
ReplyDeleteThe photos of your day are lovely in color, composition, and subject.
My boyfriend and I got out yesterday also to a local canal that remains open as a trail and it was indeed a remarkably nice day for nature walking here, too.
You do have an excellent eye. Great job on the pictures. Looks like your son had a good time, as well!
ReplyDeleteWow! What fantastic photos! Great job...I love the third one from Oak Grove Park with your son. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow, you live in a beautiful place. But more than that, you take the time to get out and enjoy it! Good for you and your son.
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to get out as well! We were only out for a little while, but it was nice while it lasted!
Don,
Honestly, I just get lucky. I also take a ton of pictures to help increase the odds that more than just one or two will come out nice. :-)
T,
My son likes that one too. He says he look mysterious in it. :-)
Dadshouse,
We don't really live in all that beautiful of a place. I just wanted to make sure we got out to see some trees changing so the Arboretum was an easy choice. I was astounded at the colors I found in the Oak Grove Lake park. It is the most colorful spot in this whole area (that I know of). Certainly not what I had expected.
Wow, wow, such incredible pics. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI sure miss not having autumn in California... it's very subtle here. Mmmm, I miss those leaves.
Absolutley amazing pictures!
