Goals

Kind of like new years resolutions, but not....

  • Learn a little about backpacking and Virginia Trails and get out to do some hikes and camping with my son this spring. What I mean by learn a little is learn what the hell I am doing. I learned from Yosemite and other various adventures with my brother that just winging it can be deadly. I would like to make it a little less stressful and a lot more fun.

  • Find some nice calm kayak/canoe trails and do some of those. Do some dolphin watching from the kayak/canoe like I was able to get out and do once last summer.

  • Eat better. Hmmmm. I keep forgetting I don't mean better chocolate, ice cream, or pizza.

  • Find good fiber sources like FiberOne bars that don't make me so gastro-musical.

  • Exercise a little more consistently. I would like to not wake up on Monday morning feeling like road kill. Weekends like this past one are SO much fun, but I need day to recuperate.

  • At work my current motto is: "Lets work on solutions that are not new ways to be incompetent." We are making progress a little at a time.

  1. I've never had this problem with FiberOne bars, but it seems like everyone I've ever spoken to about them has! I love them! I have recently tried Kellogg's new Fiber Plus bars (9 grams of fiber....right now I don't know how that stacks up against FiberOne) and they're good, but they seem a bit less substantial than the FiberOnes.

  2. Wow, I never thought I would be discussing fiber product comparisons, benefits, and side effects to anyone EVER, much less on my blog. I really am getting old. :-) Thanks for chiming in FADKOG...I'll have to check out the Kellogg's product.

  3. Fruit has fiber! Eat the white stuff around the pom seeds...
